First and foremost, I am a Christian. My faith in Jesus Christ guides me through every aspect of my life, shaping my values, decisions, and purpose. I am also a devoted family man, blessed to be married to my wife, Lori Valdez, and a proud father to our three children—Josie, Addison, and Dylan. My faith and my family always come first, before my fitness and jiu-jitsu goals.

As the founder of Genesis Grappling Club, my mission is to create a place where athletes of all ages and backgrounds can train, grow, and build resilience—whether through competition, self-defense, or personal development. My journey is a testament that it’s never too late to start, and with faith, discipline, and the right mindset, there are no limits to what we can achieve.
